The Block has become Chevrolet Performance’s in-house restoration team, tasked with some of the coolest jobs to bring some incredible builds to life for the Chevy enthusiast. Their latest task is a 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air, which it has named “Bela.”
The brief video shows Bela as a long forgotten 1956 Bel Air, which The Block plans to restore for the 2015 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Plenty of new mechanical parts will be finding their way from a host of sponsors listed in the introduction video, including Borla, Muscle Rod and Coker Tire, but we can’t wait to see the final results.
The 1956 Bel Air is a clean sheet to do many things with but, since this is SEMA we’re talking about, we’re preparing ourselves for the “modern-day hot rod” Chevrolet Performance is promising from the car.

Paint it black and red, then call it “Bela Lugosi” (Dracula).
such great patina. Don’t touch the cosmetics; she’s a beauty (and they’re original only once….)
