How To Install A Flowmaster Axle-Back Exhaust On Your C7 Corvette Stingray: Video

The Corvette C7 Stingray sounds pretty damn tasty from the factory, if you ask us.

However, plenty of owners crave an even throatier sound and as always they turn to aftermarket parts manufacturers like Flowmaster for help.

The company offers numerous setups, including the axle-back system shown in the above clip. Flowmaster tells us the system is fairly easy mount but as it mentions the active fuel management exhaust valve actuator can be bit trickier to properly remove and reinstall.

Simply grab some pliers, a T25 torque wrench and a Phillips head screwdriver and you’re all set. You don’t even need new screws; the original mounting bolts can be used to secure the actuator into position on the new exhaust.

It looks to be a fairly painless process and it’s definitely worth a watch if you’re interested in strapping a set of Flowmasters to your 2014, 2015 or 2016 Corvette Stingray.

A far-too-tall Ontarian who likes to focus on the business end of the auto industry, in part because he's too tall to safely swap cogs in a Corvette Stingray.

  1. So…. a video to show you how to install an aftermarket exhaust without showing you how to install the actual aftermarket exhaust.

    “It’s easy, read the manual”

“Here is how you replace the actuator on the new exhaust. ” (Actually useful)

“For everything else, read the manual.”

You’re online guide is as useful as your products.
