Pulling into the service department can, quite often, be a headache for the consumer, but GMC is looking to change that concept with its latest campaign push titled “Only For GMC.”
To highlight what the brand does for its customers, the campaign opens with the video above, detailing pranks on GMC Certified Service experts. The idea behind the advertisement is to convey GMC technicians, and service experts, do so much for customers, and their GMC vehicles, that even the craziest of concepts should be a breeze for them to handle.
The ad underscores this with customers bringing in jet packs and hovercrafts for an inspection.
The campaign coincides with GMC’s latest advertising strategy in the “Precision” message, which was introduced to build upon, and enhance, the “Professional Grade” tagline that has resonated well for over a decade.
GMC will push the campaign out over its social media channels, its website and air a 30-second variant of the ad to create awareness for GMC Certified Service.

If ‘the craziest concepts should be a breeze for them’, why are the service advisors at a loss when confronted by a snow cat, a hovercraft and a jet pack?
And the hidden camera/real people thing – that’s Chevy territory, yes?
But then there’s GMC’s black & white, downtown Manhattan men’s fashion ad, which is straight out of Cadillac’s playbook…
Good thing GMCs are selling themselves – the advertising’s all over the place.
