It looks as if one Tesla Model S P85 D owner has created an entire YouTube channel devoted to his drag racing efforts in the world’s fastest fully-electric vehicle. The instantaneous 687 lb-ft of torque and 691 hp and all-wheel drive has led the P85 D to clobber more than a few Corvettes, Mustangs and Hellcats along the way.
But, not today Mr. Tesla.
As the video shows, the owner lines up against a seemingly harmless C6 Corvette for a jaunt down the eighth-mile. Held up with some massive drag slicks, it’s apparent the C6 Corvette means business, though, and the Tesla owner acknowledges that in his commentary.
When the lights goes green, the Tesla immediately pulls on Corvette but, once those drag slicks find the power they need, it’s lights out for the Tesla. The C6 Corvette pulls away, trapping at 104.39 mph, and clicking off the eighth-mile in 6.09 seconds. According to Corvette Blogger, the C6 Corvette is pushing well over 700 hp to those fat slicks in the rear.
Now, the Corvette owner can walk away knowing he’s beaten one of the gnarliest electric vehicles ever built.

Yes, but he spent more money in gasoline and add-ons than the Model S P85D which is all factory stock. So the Model S will still beat ANY CAR in stock mode, use no gasoline, and still carry up to seven occupants (driver and six passengers).
This is another proof that GM must produce a hybrid Corvette Electric Ray!
Hey Sean that’s my c6 ! It’s making 702/596 love the video I had no idea it was being filmed lol! This was the first successful track day for the cars since the tires and blower!
Not a drag racer (a C6 owner though), but it appears the Tesla lost this race in reaction time?
