2016 Cadillac XT5 Spied With Unnecessary Camouflage

Automakers go through great strides to keep their latest and greatest covered up, keeping eager enthusiasts, and competition, at bay.
Unfortunately, it can be a case of bad timing, since the 2016 Cadillac XT5 was already prematurely revealed during what seemed to be a promotional photo shoot in New York City. The photos completely exposed the design for everyone to see before the SRX replacement presumably debuts at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show.
Therefore, it’s a bit pointless to keep the car so camouflaged but, Cadillac is following protocol, as Carscoops has spied the 2016 XT5 on public roads completely covered up still.
Comparing the spy photo to what the leaked photos of the 2016 XT5 showed, this is absolutely the same car, and rumors of two wheelbases for the crossover are fading quickly.
The 2016 Cadillac XT5 has been confirmed for an early 2016 release date and, following that, Cadillac will take a product hiatus, as the billions earmarked for the luxury brand’s expansion are invested into new product for the future.
They need to change this model not just the front grill,,why paid so much money for the same old SUV,,,,
Cadillac needs to consider building a V variant for the new XT5 (SRX replacement) and could easily do this by dropping in the 400 hp twin-turbo 3.0L DOHC-4v V6 planned for the upcoming CT6 or Cadillac’s LF4 455hp twin-turbo 3.6L DOHC-4v V6 as either engines would give the new XT5 the horsepower needed to compete in the new age of CUVs.
Is this an all new chassis… or does this share with another GM model? IS this to be smaller than the SRX, like what the Buick Encore is? I’m not sure where the sizing of this vehicle is to fit in? Maybe I just never read enough about it, if it was already published…
