Labor Day is nearly upon us, and you know what that means. Flipping on your television will show mattresses, clothing and cars on sale for the greatest darn deals of the year. But, savvy shoppers will actually see a few very tempting deals in the automotive realm of things.
Edmunds has put together a list of five cars itching to be moved from dealer lots, as their replacements loom on the horizon. One of the five? The 2015 Chevrolet Volt.
Any time a new iteration of a particular model is incoming, the old car always sees discounts to move them out before making room for the new. But, with the first-generation Volt not being the major sales success Chevrolet hoped for, there’s quite a few still sitting around looking for homes before the 2016 Chevrolet Volt arrives.
Look for $4,000 to be knocked off of MSRPs on a 2015 Volt over the holiday weekend, making it a perfect time to scoop up the plug-in. There’s nothing particularly wrong with the current Volt, either. It’s a great PHEV, and scored some of the best satisfaction scores when initially introduced. Those looking to reduce their time at the pump would be foolish not to take a look one while prices are this low.
Or, there’s always a pre-owned Volt, too.

After reading up on the P85D, its tough to get too excited about any electric vehicle.
The problem with the Chevy Volt is that people just don’t understand how the car works as a lot of people actually think the Prius works like the Volt in that the car runs on battery mode until it runs out of charge then a gas motor kicks in; but the people who have bought the Volt truly love the car and can’t wait for the GEN 2 Volt with a battery range of 53 miles which means most drivers will most likely never need to buy gas.
