The 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP is a rare find in its own right. After Pontiac closed its doors, G8 prices hit rock bottom but, in recent years, they’ve been steadily holding value has it becomes more difficult to find low-mileage examples.
This particular 2009 G8 GXP ticks all the main boxes to command its $30,000 asking price by the seller in North Carolina. 47,495 miles, completely factory mechanicals and all its official papers. Oh, and it’s equipped with the six-speed manual.
This 2009 G8 GXP sits as number 1,757 of 1,829 built, and is one of 43 black-on-black 2009 G8 GXPs equipped with the manual gearbox. The other small fun fact about searching for 2009 Pontiac G8 GXPs? Nearly all of them you will stumble upon are automatics. The six-speeds are being held onto, making this something any Pontiac (Holden) fan will want to get their hand on.
The 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP was coined the four-door Corvette when it arrived on the scene, but it has now become so much more. Not only does the badge it wears cease to exist, but its home assembly line in Australia will soon idle definitely.

Fritz was against this, would not allow, but G8 should have immediately made it’s way over to Chevrolet.
I remember him being against re-badging but at the time Impala was a weak entry and this was too great a vehicle to waste.
Doing so, keeping the entire range, would have helped GM keep Pontiac shoppers instead of losing them to silly Dodge.
