Before you laugh at the idea of a 1953 Buick Super taking on an autocross event you may want to watch this customized classic take on the challenge. It’s surprisingly nimble, and is sure to leave you impressed.
We don’t know much about this Buick, but from what we can tell it has been extensively modified. Despite being a big, heavy, steel car it moves through the course with as much ease as, say, a Chevrolet Cobalt SS. We’d love to find out the specs behind the seemingly marvelous suspension setup, you barely hear the tires chirp, of course that could all be from the driver having mad skills. He was at least skillful enough to win the Hot Rod Challenge (1954 and older) at the event that day.
What a wonderful day it’d be if the owner ever invited us to take this old-school beauty for a run through an autocross lap. We’re sure that we aren’t the only ones daydreaming about this.
