The Pontiac G8 GT is one hell of a car, and building one has a special aura around it. Okay, that could be a bit of author bias, but we must give credit where credit is due. The car this G8 faces outguns it in every way.
We stumbled upon this GoPro footage from the 2015 Ice Cream Cruise, hosted by 1320Video, of this built Pontiac G8 GT versus the famed all-wheel drive Oldsmobile Cutlass.
Unfortunately, we don’t have specs on the G8, but the Cutlass has become an internet sensation for being the first all-wheel drive application in the Cutlass community. The car is a 1982 specimen, featuring a Lingenfelter LS2 V8 engine, taking advantage of 15-pounds of boost from its Procharger. Combine that with the capabilities of all-wheel drive, and you know this is an absolute monster.
And you can tell it hooks immediately from this footage. Before the rear wheels even know what to do with themselves in the G8, the Cutlass is gone.
Enough of our babbling, check out the run for yourself down below.
