Vengeance Racing C7 Corvette Z06 Is Currently The Aftermarket King Of The Hill

Here at GM Authority, we pay close attention to the ongoing battle among various tuning outfits. Lingenfelter (720 hp for Stage 1), Hennessey (1,000 hp packages, but eventually), Late Model Racecraft (750 hp without nitrous), and Callaway (757 hp)… to name a few. Each one has so far added their own special blend of herbs and spices to the C7 Corvette Z06 in an effort to cook up ever-hotter examples beyond the already insane 650 hp/650 lb-ft example from the factory.

We’ve seen quite a few examples so far, but some of the biggest numbers to date come courtesy of Vengeance Racing, who claim to have finally created the world’s most powerful C7 Z06 at this present time. In accordance with the VR style we’ve come to know, the achievement involves lots of nitrous spray.

The team added a long list of mods (more on those below) and even teamed up with the folks at Nitrous Outlet, adding a full nitrous system with a two gallon dedicated fuel cell, two carbon fibre nitrous tanks with billet bottle brackets and a NOS launcher progressive controller.

Vengeance first tore the car apart and then chucked thousands of dollars at the areas they thought needed improvement. To date, the Vengeance Racing C7Z Z06 has been hit with:

Halltech Carbon Fiber CKNZ
VR ported Throttlebody
VR 2.38 Upper Pulley Kit
VR Lower Damper
VR Stage III Custom Camshaft Kit-Retains VVT/Deletes DOD
American Racing 2-inch Stainless Long tubes with 3-inch ORX
B&B Fusion Catback Exhaust
RPS Triple Carbon Clutch with Tilton Hydraulics
RPM Level VII TR6070 Transmission
Driveshaft Shop Half Shafts
LG Motorsports Drag Spindles
VR Flex Fuel Sensor Kit
Alky Control Dual Nozzle Methanol Injection System

(Note: All the tuning was performed on E85 fuel with a 57 percent mixture.)

Vengeance first fitted a 41 nitrous jet and the car produced 956 rwhp and 936 lb-ft of torque at the wheels. But, of course, that’s not extreme enough.

With the magic number clearly in sight the team decided to swap out the 41 jet for a 57 jet with a few additional degrees of timing. This resulted in colossal gains (132 hp and 152 lb-ft of torque), taking total power to a downright ludicrous 1,088 hp and 1,079 lb-ft f torque. In a road car.

The team says it’s done all it can with the stock supercharger, so we’ll have to wait to see what they come back with next.
