Tony Stewart Let Justin Wilson’s Family Borrow His Personal Plane

After late IndyCar driver Justin Wilson was struck in the head with debris and knocked unconscious during the ABC Supply 500 Sunday night, his family needed to quickly travel from their home in Colorado to Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania in order to see him. Luckily, the racing community is one big family, and a fellow racer of Wilson’s deciding to lend a helping hand.

NASCAR driver Tony Stewart gave the Wilson’s access to his personal plane, allowing them to make their way to Justin’s bedside as fast as possible. As FOX Sports reports, many in the IndyCar and racing world were quick to thank Stewart for the gracious gesture, which isn’t out of character to those who truly know ‘Smoke’.

  2. Not the first time Tony has done this.

    I assumed it was bad Sunday when he was airlifted. out It was so unspectacular when I saw it live. The driver hit the wall was my major concern but he walked away. He was 12 cars back and just in the wrong spot at the wrong time.

    This was just one of those things that just happens and no way to explain it. God needed him more than we did.
