This 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Pro Mod Is One Of Our Favorite Builds Ever, Ever

Every once in a while we come across one of those cars that raises our standard of what separates the best from the rest, and this 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Pro Mod is one of them.

The C2 Corvette is already one of the sharpest looking cars Chevrolet ever produced, and after two-year, frame-off restoration the builders turned it into one of the best looking cars we’ve ever had the pleasure of sharing with you. The best part is that this Corvette has the ability to outperform its looks, thanks to a load of performance goodies.

A 6-speed manual transmission brings out the fun in a beefy 527 cubic-inch big block that’s been decked out with body-color engine paint, and billet fuel-injection equipment, even the air horns are apparently billet fabricated. The exhaust fumes are expelled through a custom side exhaust with electronic cutouts and a black ceramic coating. The chassis and rear-suspension are custom built, and this Corvette was also fitted with adjustable coilover shocks and six-piston (!) Wilwood brakes all the way around.

To actually race such a vehicle and maintain it would require some serious coin. That being said, we hope the buyer is someone who wants to put the car through it’s paces, as we would really love to see what it could do. The craftsmanship is certainly there in regards to looks and fine detail, though.

The car is estimated at a value of $125,000 – $150,000. With no reserve, we’re very curious to see how much this Corvette ends up going for at the Mecum auction ending tomorrow.

A car-loving millennial. We Are!
