The 2016 Cadillac ATS-V is a delight to drive on the track. There, we said it. But, it’s not we who are critiquing Cadillac’s latest track toy today. It’s the folks at Jalopnik who have sent touring car champ Robb Holland to grab impressions of the 2016 ATS-V at Monticello Motor Club.
And the results are pretty good.
Holland commends Cadillac engineers for creating a car with this kind of track refinement. While most buyers will most likely be doing digs from traffic lights on the way to the grocery store, there will be a handful to actually take this car to its limits. And the 2016 ATS-V has no problem being taken to its limits, something we experienced when we drove the 2016 ATS-V at Road America.
Holland is a major fan of the engine, too, with plenty of torque and minimal turbo lag from the LF4 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 engine. The engine is always ready to scoot the car out of the corners in a hurry.
