The National Corvette Museum could be described as the ultimate haven for a Corvette aficionado. And the fine folks at the NCM know that, and treat their attendees, and members, like gold. The museum has just released their itinerary for the 21st NCM Anniversary bash and it’s official: the Skydome is reopening.
On September 3 at 9 a.m., the NCM will have a ribbon cutting ceremony for the redone Skydome after a massive sinkhole caved the floor in, taking a handful of priceless Corvettes with it. While those Corvettes undergo restoration, construction crews have been hard at work to ensure the new structure can withstand this type of disaster.
But the 21st anniversary won’t be all about the Skydome. The NCM plans to honor its 10, 15 and 20 year members in a ceremony, provide Corvette information classes, take eager drivers out for hot laps at the National Corvette Museum Motorsports Park plus much more during the three day event.
