As much as we want our dream cars, sometimes they’re simply out of reach. That was the story with Omer Troester, owner of this 2004 Mazda Miata. But, as you can see, the 2004 Miata has had some custom work done to it.
Troester had his eyes set on a 1957 Corvette since he was young but, his finances never supported the purchase.
“My income didn’t increase as fast as the price of Corvettes increased,” he told The Fremont Tribune.
So, he took to creating his dream. He restyled the 2004 Miata to look like a 1957 Corvette, complete with the classic red and white paint scheme and chrome grille.
Troester says the car has won multiple awards and constantly gets attention wherever it goes. But, the time had come to part ways with it. Troester and his wife are looking to purchase an automatic Miata since they’re both ready to enjoy leave the days of rowing the gears behind.
The 2004 Miata was put up for auction and no word has surfaced if the Corvette/Miata mashup has found a new home. Troester’s Miata/Corvette is just another creative way to make a dream become a reality.

Talk about polishing a turd…
Somebody gave that thing a trophy? I get that it was done on a budget, but at least throw an LS in it if you’re going to us Corvette badges.
You guys fkn suck… ever heard of CUSTOM?!
CHRIST! there’s an ass for every seat.. give the dude a break… if it were done on a fkn budget… how could he have even PUT an LS in it?? Paint is a LOT cheaper than power. And further, he probably GOT an award FOR the PAINT WORK…
