Here Are The Six Colors Of The 2016 Buick Cascada

Though it’s not available to purchase yet, we’ve already brought you all kinds of information about the 2016 Buick Cascada, including the 2016 Cascada order guide, its primary competition, its specifications, and even how a coupe variant would look. And now, Buick has published the color palette for its first convertible in 25 years.

So, without further ado, the 2016 Buick Cascada will be available in the following six exterior colors:

  • Graystone Metallic (additional charge – premium paint)
  • Summit White (available on 1SV)
  • Flip Chip Silver Metallic (additional charge – premium paint)
  • Deep Sky Metallic (available on 1SV; additional charge – premium paint)
  • Toasted Coconut Metallic (additional charge – premium paint)
  • Carbon Black Metallic (additional charge – premium paint)

Interior color combinations include two options — Jet Black seats with Jet Black accents or Light Neutral seats with Jet Black accents.

Which is your favorite? What other colors would you like to see added to the color palette? Talk to us in the comments.

  1. C’mon GM dump the summit white and use the metallic white! Buicks are premium cars!

    1. Well, you’re right: Buicks are premium cars. But they are not luxury cars. Put another way, Buicks are luxury cars at a lower price. So, that metallic White that you’re referring to — the Crystal White Tricoat — will be a $1,000 option that Buick customers and their expectations of getting more for less will not pay for.

So, here’s the perfect middle ground: continue offering the Summit White and offer the Crystal White Tricoat as an option. The same should happen for the Cadillac ATS and CTS.

      1. As Chevrolet, and all of the other value brands (most of which don’t have a “middle” brand) continue to build more polished, premium looking vehicles, Buick will either become more luxurious or disappear.
Anyway, a Buick is no less luxury than Acura, Volo or Lincoln – – all of which present themselves as luxury.

      2. I’m going to have to respectfully but strongly disagree here.

Paint color is no big whoop. When my wife got her Nissan Cube — she wasn’t stuck with a bunch of lame ass colors to choose from. Just going up one grade of trim gave her a fantastic selection: a moss green, a darker lipstick red, and — the winner — the Caribbean blue.

I’m sure no one in here will argue that the Nissan Cube is a near luxury car.

Paint is paint is paint. A third coat? Big deal.

      3. Having it as an option would work. You can get it on many Chevys. So it should be an option on this car.

        1. I’m guessing that this is about Cascada being an import, and GM wanting to keep things simple.
They know that very few Cascadas will be sold, and that the niche audience for a convertible of this price isn’t going to bolt on the issue of paint.
Unfortunately, Buick isn’t looking at Cascada as a more for less Audi competitor but as a Chrysler Sebring replacement instead.
GM could be doing better with the market position of both Cascada and Buick. Unfortunately, they are more focused on making Chevrolet a more polished brand in the mode of Ford. Malibu and Impala are moving too close into Buick terrain, not moving upmarket fast enough.

    2. Not everyone likes metallic white, I don’t. I prefer the clean look of a bright white, not that “dirty” metallic white.

    2. First thing I thought: a convertible but no red???

      1. Definitely red

  3. Need more colors that are not extra cost only the white comes with the car. Ridiculous!

    1. Agreed. Paying $30,000 for a car and then getting nickeled and dimed on color is ridiculous.

      1. I don’t think Buick understands who wants to drive this car. It is a CRUISER. It is not a sports car…and should not try to look like one. I disagree with those who are saying it should be red. This is a car for older people who want to feel luxurious…even if it is just a ride to Walmart on a Sunday afternoon.. The deep sky metallic blue is perfect with the tan seats…but the full black interiors miss the mark completely. No one wants a convertible with a black interior! Do you see people on the beach with black towels? Of course not! If you want to blow people away…try something new and refreshing…and sophisticated…think Rolls Royce and jaguar colors for inspiration. . Like a richer buttery yellow or a mint green with saddle brown leather seats….Or a fresh soft coral with warm white seats. Think FRESH! The color is extremely important! It sets the tone…and is what makes other people stop and say “WOW!” The 2016 bliue was perfect….and is WHY I BOUGHT THE CAR! I have gotten so many compliments in the 2 weeks I have owned it. Makes me very proud…and the compliments are always first about the color…deep sky metallic. I am a 61-year-old woman…. I am making sure my shopping bags and keychain match the car. And just got a scarf to match as well! I even just got the perfect color picnic blanket to keep in the car. The car is my dollhouse…do you get it? It becomes a way for us to tell the world who we are….and older women want to look fresh, clean, sophisticated, beautiful. and pulled together..while driving a safe cruiser in comfort. KNOW YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE…and you will sell more cars. If you must go dark…try a deep British racing green or forest green, a deep Lincoln maroon color, or a deep teal/turquoise all with creamy white or light tan interiors. Those colors would lean into attracting some men as well. Whatever you do…make sure the first reaction a person has is a jaw-dropping …”WOW! THAT IS GORGEOUS!” I am available for consulting at a reasonable fee…LOL! Two more suggestions…less buttons! Too hard, esp for older people…to navigate all that tech while driving. Also…like the interior colored lighting …but try purple or blue lights. The red is…outdated looking. Yes…purple…lok at a Marantz Superscope from the late 1970’s! Again…KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE! If a 60-year-old wants to drive your car…let them reminisce about when they were in their heyday. Balck lights…or at least purple lights harken back to a time when that was the standard for cool! LOL!

  4. GM made no effort. Cascada is the misfit, lacking even a typical Buick grill treatment.
Buick clearly doesn’t expect to sell my of these and therefore is unwilling to invest very much into the program.
    Too bad. I like Cascada.

  5. This model as illustrated will cause nothing but problems from passers by , wanting to know what it is . When you say it is a Buick , theirs will most likely be ” that isn’t a Buick ” !! As Marcus says , it has no Buick grill treatment , and I agree as to why they left it same as the European one . Color wise , the white one looks okay , would I consider buying one , NO !!

    1. That’s assuming that people are very familiar with Buick grilles and designs. And that’s assuming a lot.

But to have people ask, “that’s a Buick?” is actually a good thing. And people will ask that whether it has a historically-correct “Buick grille” or not.

  6. Personally, I like the car very much and would like to drive and possibly own one.
However: black, white, silver, grey. Sick to death of seeing all of them, and of the monochromatic dearth of color on cars today. Add a garish blue and something tannish, and voila!
Seems reflective of a culture that is resigned to dullness and afraid of any form of personal expression beyond blogging and tweeting.
Where are those varied and gorgeous colors of the pre-my-time Fifties?

    1. Aqua, or turquoise, and coral, definitely coral.

Coral and a dark gray top, two tone interior!

  9. Speaking colors, happened to be on the Yukon and Yukon XL configurators for 2016 and lo and behold there are now only 2 “standard” colors, white and black. All the other 5 or 7 colors are options including a silver that I believe use to be a standard. Give me a break! Raise the base price and quit nickel, diming, the customer to death. Talk about wreaking tacky! On top of it all, some of these colors have been around since I believe 2008. Come up with some new colors, make them standard and raise the base price

  12. I will probably get a bunch of thumbs down but , this isnt a very sexy convertible . I dont see Buick selling many of these and I know its a niche vehicle . This is the old GM rebadging a vehicle to sell here in the US . Some of the rebadged cars have sold well ( Encore ) but this car just doesnt seem to fit in with other Buicks .
I do however think color matters . I like the extra cost colors , white diamond tri , Crystal red Met and Carbon black etc. . But for a little convertable it should be offered in something different from the mainstreme colors . JMO

  15. Buick didn’t put too much thought into that generic grille, did they? And the taillights connected by a chrome strip? Haven’t see that design a 1000 times already, have we? Looks nothing like the back of a 200 convertible!

And let’s make it even more interesting by offering exciting colors like grey, white, brown! Oh yeah… I am RUNNING to get this exciting car.

  16. We are planning to purchase a Cascada in the spring. It will be my wife’s car. I think the pricing is reasonable but having only one non-premium paint is kind of dumb. For $33k give us more than 6 colors and more than one non-premium. Come on GM, work with me here!

  19. I really like the car. My only complaint is that the top only comes in black. It should at least have a tan option to match the tan leather.

  20. Where’s the slutty red? Is this car doomed to be a GM bust? No hard top convertible option; semi-chunky body style; wanting gas mileage in an era when full battery operation is on the horizon and fossil fuels will find limited use.

  23. I was very interested in the Cascada, but diasappointed that it does not have a push button start, or the beautiful dash that my Lacrosse has. Also I could swear the color at the 2015 auto show was a very light blue. I don’t see that. I still am interested. I also have a mustang convertable but wanted to consolidate and have just one car.

    1. Silver chip is actually a very light blue color. We test drove one in that color but preferred the deep sky blue color. We are very pleased with this car after owning it for a year. It is actually fun to drive. Handling is crisp and power is adequate. The top mechanism is great, with nothing to release. Just push the top lever up or down. The car gets a lot of positive comments from others.
