General Motors has announced that it has appointed Michael Szachta as the new General Director of OnStar Mexico.

In his new role, Szachta will lead the expansion strategy of OnStar in the Mexican market, continuing the work begun by Jeff Christensen, who was appointed to the post of Director of New Business Development and Marketing at OnStar in China.

Szachta holds a degree in Chemical Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Michigan. He has over 22 years of professional experience, including seven years with General Motors and OnStar.
