Might there be a better way for General Motors CEO Mary Barra to celebrate the most potent Corvette built to date? We don’t think so. Barra was on the scene at the 2015 Woodward Dream Cruise in her latest toy: a 2015 C7 Corvette Z06 convertible.
Barra tweeted a photo of herself behind the driver’s seat in her blacked 2015 C7 Z06 declaring her car “The Beast.”
Barra’s 2015 Corvette Z06 is outfitted with the Z07 performance package featuring the aero bits to make the Corvette a true beast on the track. Originally, as Corvette Blogger points out, it was thought Barra opted for the eight-speed automatic gearbox for her 2015 Z06 but, as she pointed out on Twitter, hers is indeed a seven-speed manual car.
The 2015 C7 Corvette Z06 seems to have the recipe for a classic in the making. It’s a Z06 variant, a convertible and has a seven-speed manual. We can already envision what a lofty sum the car will be worth in future.
But, in the present, it seems Barra is quite liking her new Corvette.

Not bad for a “company car” !!!!
And it wasn’t stolen? Damn surprise.
Convertible and a manual; that car is likely one of very few Z06s built in that configuration.
That’s a story I’d like to see, the build numbers for the C7 Z06 and if the manual transmission selection has plummeted for the Corvette (and Z06 subsequently surged) as a result of the automatic being available for the once “hardcore” version of the car.
