After long-time sponsor GoDaddy announced it would withdraw from NASCAR, Stewart-Haas racing driver Danica Patrick and was left searching for a new company to adorn her No. 10 Chevrolet SS with their logo. Not surprisingly, NASCAR’s most marketable driver had no problem locking down a new backer, with Nevada-based snacks and food company Nature’s Bakery becoming her primary sponsor for 2016 and beyond.
The multi-year deal will see to it that the Nature’s Bakery logo and the brand’s “Energy for Life’s Great Journeys,” tagline is displayed on Patrick’s car for 28 races a year. The snacks company, founded in 2010 by father and son team Dave and Sam Marson, said Patrick’s health conscious lifestyle makes her a perfect fit for the sponsorship.
“Danica Patrick is one of the most fit and health-conscious drivers in all of racing and she embodies the Nature’s Bakery customer,” Dave Marson said in a prepared statement. “We make great products that complement Danica’s lifestyle and the always on-the-go environment in which she competes. Nature’s Bakery provides ‘Energy for Life’s Great Journeys’ and we’re very proud to embark upon this NASCAR journey with Danica and Stewart-Haas Racing.”
Patrick said she’s determined to accomplish more in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series going forward, adding that an ambitious company like Nature’s Bakery is the perfect fit to help her achieve her goals.
“It’s an honor to represent Nature’s Bakery and also a great deal of responsibility,” Patrick said. “They have ambitious goals and they’re going to rely on me and everyone at Stewart-Haas Racing to deliver. I have ambitious goals too. It’s why I came to NASCAR and, specifically, to Stewart-Haas Racing. There’s still a lot I want to achieve in this sport and I’m looking to continue my professional journey with a brand as determined as I am.”
