The internet is a strange place. On one hand, it exposed individuals who don’t know any better, allowing for a laugh. On the other hand, it can become a place for people to gain their five-seconds of stardom by going viral. Remember the dress controversy? Yeah.
We’re going to hope this was an elaborate joke but, we don’t know for sure.
High Tech Corvette came across this photo with a caption stating, “This came in the shop today. Guy said he installed a blower but, it’s not making any more power than it did. Haha.”
Carefully examining the photo shows two things: that is certainly not a proper cold air intake and, someone missed the important part of connecting the manifold to enjoy the forced induction that comes with supercharging.
That is why we say we hope this is some sort of ruse to go viral, because, that’s a pretty blatant mistake. In the meantime, this gentleman does most likely own the first naturally aspirated and forced induction Corvette simultaneously. So, if there were some award for that, this gentleman would take home the W.

Apparently he doesn’t have the third pedal to use either.
That’s one thick skull.
It is obvious that the supercharger isn’t attached to the intake manifold!
While this may be a joke I have seen things this dumb or worse working in the performance aftermarket.
There are times you just want to tell people to put the tools down and seek professional help. Even then some are professionals just in over their heads.
