Moving parts fail, and engines like to overheat. Especially those from yesteryear. Classic cruisers at the Woodward Dream Cruise shouldn’t fear, though, because Chevrolet will be on hand to assist at a moment’s notice with the Chevrolet Certified Service Rescue vehicles.
Chevrolet will provide six 2015 Silverados with ASE certified technicians from a handful of local dealerships to cruise Woodward ensuring a dead battery doesn’t cause a dream cruise to become a nightmare traffic jam.
“It’s called the ‘The Dream Cruise’, but an overheated engine, a drained battery, or a flat tire can turn that dream into a nightmare for enthusiasts whose countdown clock to Woodward starts the day the last one ends,” said Chris Brandt, Chevrolet Certified Service advertising manager. “No one wants to break down or cause ‘The Dream Traffic Jam,’ so Chevrolet Certified Service technicians will help cruisers with the kind of minor issues that can be easily remedied.”
And, believe it or not, things do happen, because Chevrolet has compiled its top issues from the 2014 Woodward Cruise. The brand suggests checking fluids, ensuring the battery has a steady charge and filling the vehicle up with a fresh tank of petrol.
