Chevrolet Readying 2016 Camaro Public Debut At Woodward Dream Cruise

It’s one of the most wonderful times of the year for auto enthusiasts and, we’re not talking about the holiday season when we can scoop up car parts. It’s Woodward Dream Cruise time, and Chevrolet will be out in full force to support the world’s largest single-day enthusiast event.
This is the fifth year Chevrolet will sponsor the Woodward Dream Cruise, and the brand plans to have several dedicated displays and events during the festivities.
First, if you’re a Chevrolet Volt owner, the brand invites you to participate in a “silent cruise” on August 11 at 6 p.m. Chevrolet asks owners to meet at the Kingsley Inn in Bloomfield Hills to silently cruise Woodward Avenue beginning at 7 p.m. Chevrolet Volt engineering and marketing representatives will also be on hand to showcase the new, 2016 Chevy Volt.
GM Design will host the sixth annual Design on Woodward car show on Wednesday, August 12 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. The show will take place at the Northwood Plaza on the southwest corner of Woodward and 13 Mile Road. This unique show will feature over 100 personal vehicles owned by members of the General Motors design team, making it a great chance to see some rare sheetmetal.
Chevrolet will also open its Chevrolet Performance booth beginning on Thursday, August 13 and will run the booth through the entirety of the dream cruise, showcasing its vehicles fresh from the 2015 Hot Rod Power Tour.
And finally, Chevrolet’s pièce de résistance, will be its main Woodward Dream Cruise display on Saturday, August 15. Here, the brand will showcase its entire lineup of new vehicles, including the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro and 2016 Camaro convertible, the vehicle’s first showing to the public. It will also star a 1955 Chevy Bel Air, as the vehicle’s design marks its 60th anniversary.
In the event a vehicle overheats, or runs out of petrol, Chevrolet will also have its Certified Service Rescue Squad on hand to assist any participants with car troubles during the main event. Just keep an eye out for a Chevrolet Silverado with the Rescue Squad branding.
