Halloween is a full two months away, but that fact didn’t stop two thieves from donning season-appropriate masks and carjacking a man in a Chevrolet Camaro.
The man was nearing his destination on Detroit’s west side when the bandits in witch and Freddie Krueger masks approached the gray 2011 Camaro, and hit the victim in the head with a sawed-off shotgun.
“They made me get out of the car and took everything I had and drove off down the street,” Fox2Detroit quoted the victim as saying.
The vehicle was soon recovered a short distance away from the crime scene, but everything in it was gone.
Thankfully, no one was seriously injured during the incident.
Unlike the “real” Freddie Krueger in the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, it seem this fake Freddie doesn’t mind breaking tradition by attacking victims when they’re awake. And that seems a little unfair to the series if you ask us.
Police advise anyone with information on the crime to call Commercial Auto Theft Secction (CATS) at 313-596-2525.
