Car Thieves Steal Vehicles From Chevrolet Dealer In Missouri

A group of car thieves descended on a Chevrolet dealership in Florissant, Missouri last night, making off with at least four unidentified vehicles. The incident happened at Johnny Londoff Chevrolet at around 2pm. By chance, a cop patrolling the area noticed the fleet of vehicles leaving the dealership and had a feeling something was awry.

Three vehicles have been identified while the fourth remains unidentified, according to local reports. They consist of a Honda Accord, a Chevrolet Cruze and a GMC Yukon.

The officer began pursuit but the thieves thwarted the advancing cruiser by blasting off into the night. Police halted the pursuit at that point. Afterwards, one of the cars damaged and abandoned on Interstate 70 near Bel-Ridge. Cops say it spun out of control and crashed into a wall in the eastbound lane, though the driver was not at the scene.

The rest of the vehicles, along with the people responsible, have yet to be found. Meanwhile, police are currently coordinating with the owner of the dealership to review security footage.

Authorities say the thieves obtained entry to the vehicles after forcing their way into the used car facility and, quite simply, grabbing the keys. Not exactly the most high-tech heist ever conceived, it would seem.

With that said, the investigation remains wide open.

  1. The Cruse and the Yukon were both equipped with OnStar. Did anyone think to call them, as these OnStar vehicles are TRACKED and Onstar knows where they are from minute to minute……………stupid
