Wow, 2 standard color features. Must be the way GM is heading–paint will be optional! Noticed the configurator on Yukon and Yukon XL is similar, 2 standard and 5 or so optional. Guess Henry Ford has been resurrected and you can have any color as long as it is black that is unless you pay a premium. Would be nice they get some new colors even for the optional. The tri-coat white has been around since at least 2007, the Crystal Red since at least 2008. Let’s get some new variety here.
At least for the CT6 they have the emerald and dark Adriatic that are fairly recent.
That’s the way the Germans do it, too — a handful of colors are standard, others are extra-cost options.
Chris, two is not a handful. Besides, who is the German competitor for Yukon and Yukon XL?
Regarding the German competition comment…I believe, from reading and watching Mercedes advertising, they seem to feel that their GL is competition, for our American SUV’s…I do Not agree with that, just replying to the Comment. I do Not feel, that any Country makes anything that Competes with the American truck or SUV, and as for myself, I’ll take GM all day long
Martin, I’m referring to the CT6 competitors, not Yukon/Yukon XL. The only competition those have are from Ford (Expedition and Expedition XL) and maybe the Nissan Pathfinder Armada and Toyota Sequoia.
Red flags: no power adjustable headrests, no power adjustable seatbelts, no soft-closing doors, and why on Earth is there no passenger side auto-dimming mirror?!!!!……. >:( Boy! Cadillac’s autonomy from the corporate GM umbrella can’t come soon enough! Kia and Hyundai’s flagships have these features; even the newer Lincoln models have power headrests, and not Cadillac?!!! Still though, the CT6 looks to be the best (stopgap) full-size Caddy sedan ever! The 4-cylinder option still rubs me the wrong way; it’s not a bad engine, but c’mon!! Should there really be a tiny, underpowered turbo-4 in this Caddy?!!! I know fuel economy regulations dictate this option be available; but they should at least bump that power up to 300hp! Oh! And one more thing: can we get the NA 6.2L LT1 as a stopgap, top-of-the-line engine until the Caddy-exclusive TTV8 arrives? Thanks Cadillac!
Couple of disappointments:
1) RWD is only available with the four banger.
2) Panaray audio is only available with a sunroof.
