2016 Chevy Silverado 3500HD Gets New Colors, Features, Technology And More

Just like its 2016 Silverado 2500HD brother, the Chevy Silverado 3500HD is getting a bevy of notable changes and updates for the 2016 model year, while keeping the same powertrain as the 2014 and 2015 models.
To start, the 2016 Silverado 3500HD does away with four colors while adding three new ones:
Deleted Colors
- Deep Ruby Metallic
- Victory Red
- Brownstone Metallic
- Rainforest Green Metallic
New Colors
- Siren Red Tintcoat (Double Cab only)
- Butte Red Metallic (Crew Cab only)
- Red Hot
The 2016 Silverado 3500HD then goes on to delete the IO4 radio and replaces the PHF 18-inch polished aluminum wheels with a chromed aluminum set of the same size, while adding the following new features:
- Remote Locking tailgate
- MyLink audio system with 7-inch color touch screen
- Wireless Charging
- HD Radio
- Power steering with active Hydraulic Assist and recirculating ball
Finally, the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 Heavy Duty also gets the following changes:
- Custom Sport Edition is available on 1LT trim
- Manual tilt and telescoping steering wheel is added to LT Convenience Package on Double and Regular Cab models
- Chevrolet MyLink 8-inch Diagonal Color Touch audio system is removed from LT Convenience Package
- Z71 is now only available on 4WD models
