2016 Chevrolet Camaro Key Fob Looks Pretty Snazzy

We’ve been privy to a great deal of information on the forthcoming 2016 Chevrolet Camaro, but there are also plenty of details we’ve yet to find out. Earlier this week we caught a glimpse of some accessories Chevrolet plans to offer for the 2016 Camaro, and today, we get a look at the key fob.
The fob pictured features the usual smattering of buttons like lock, unlock, and an alarm, yet it also includes controls for automatic trunk release and crucially, for convertible models, a button to automatically stow the top. The photo comes our way from our friends at CamaroNews.com.
Beyond the fact it’s the fob to a 2016 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible, we aren’t privy to any other details like the model or trim of the Camaro it’s attached to.
Sure, a key fob won’t make or break a sale, but an original key (at least in its appearance) is a constant reminder to drivers that they are behind the wheel of something special. Even if this fob is a new ubiquitous piece for new Chevys, like the 2016 Cruze, who will care? It looks great.
The question is, how do Camaro fans feel about it? Give us all your opinions, gripes and grievances on the Camaro Six key in the space below.

So does that mean that the 2016 Camaro convertible (key fob pictured above) won’t have remote start on the automatic transmission equipped cars? I know manual GM vehicle do not come with remote start.
could be a manual, seeing how the auto will utilize the all new 8-speed they may not have a test mule rolling around??? just speculation…
Of course they have 8 speed mules rolling around. It’s a new transmition of course they have to test it.
If the photo was taken at the recent Camaro Fest in Bowling Green, it’s probably the key fob to the silver Camaro convertible show car they had on display. It has a 6 speed manual.
Who said that fob went to an automatic? Maybe that goes to a 6 speed convertible.
Sexy.
where can I find the color combinations for the 2016 Camaro convertible
Looks massive in that persons hand
That’s why the front page of the site has the subtitle it does for the story. LOL 🙂
As long as the dealer is not cutting off the key and leaving a gapping hole in it before they deliver my car then it is fine.
I know many a Camaro owner mad about that as they never had a knee come close to hitting the key.
Yes they will have remote start in the Automatic cars. This was a Manual.
If I recall this will be push button starts on this car.
Waaaaaay too big.
Optical illusion.

We are going to start seeing GM’s key fobs get to look more like a piece of jewelry in the very near future . And the more a car costs the sexier they will get . Other manufacturers have already started this trend .
Way too big? Some people will find anything to bitch about. It is a push button Start, leave it in your pocket. If that is too bulky, you need to buy some big boy pants. Camaros were never intended for skinny jeans……
The fob really isn’t that big….
Roughly the size of 2 fingers, about the same size as my 2012 chevy fob with the flipout key, maybe slightly bigger.
Can’t put the top back up? Why are we stuck with just opening it?
