Precision seems to be translucent across the globe, as the 2015 GMC Sierra HD walked away with the top spot after the J.D. Power Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout, or APEAL, Study.
The study examines consumers’ thoughts via surveys on how gratifying the purchase of a particular vehicle has been, and how the ownership experience has treated them thus far. Over the survey, 77 attributes are scored by the consumer, combining to create a score measured on a 1,000 point scale.
“These and similar awards affirm that our customers recognize and appreciate the precision engineering, design and technology that go into every GMC,” said Mohsen Kassem, Regional Sales and Marketing Manager at GMC Middle East. ” Our Sierra HD customers in the region will recognize that their trucks are engineered without compromise to deliver the capability, refinement and technology that inspire confidence with every task,” he added.
GMC notes it paid special attention to features involving comfort and long driving stints, as most 2015 Sierra HD owners use their trucks for hauling and towing. This led to the inclusion of integrated cruise control and automatic-grade braking.
Following in the 2015 Sierra’s footsteps, the 2015 GMC Terrain also was recognized in the study, taking a top three spot in the compact SUV category.
