In this video we see a 1977 Panther 6 being showcased at the 2015 Concorso d’Eleganza of Villa d’Este. It must have been a site to see for those who attended the event, as the 6-wheeled unicorn is very different from any cars you’d normally see. And rightfully so, as only one other 1977 Panther 6 was ever produced.
This car’s build is as unique as the car itself, featuring a 600 hp twin-turbocharged Cadillac 8.2L V8 that sits in the middle of the chassis. The trunk (hatch?) is open and shut by a switch rather than manually, adding even more cool points.
Based off of what we see in the video, we’re almost certain there are some modified features on this Panther. For some reason the stainless-steel braided lines and suspension components don’t seem very OEM. While some would find it absurd to tinker with such a rare vehicle, we think it’d be pretty awesome to see how hard those 6 tires can hook, and what sort of times this thing could set with some performance upgrades here and there. After all, it’s said to be capable of 200+ MPH in stock form, and that’s higher than the top speed of a C7 Corvette Z06.

I hate to be rude, but it is not an attractive car. It is like a mutated Corvair.
