Just to be clear, this isn’t a Camaro IROC-Z. Only about a dozen 1974 Chevrolet Camaro IROC Race Cars are said to have existed, and the one shown in this Classic Driver listing is believed to be one of them. In fact, it may just be one of only four Camaros that remain from the “International Race of Champions.”
The listing states that the car was raced by the following drivers; Bobby Unser, Emerson Fittipaldi, Bobby Allison. Our favorite bit from the seller, though, would have to be the “race ready” remark, as if someone would ever actually make our dreams come true and hammer down on a highly-valued, collectible car.
Something really neat about this second-gen Camaro are the fender flares. They almost seem like the inspiration for some Rocket-Bunny body kit designs, except these are used for function – they just happen to look really good as well.
The question is, do you believe this Camaro is an authentic IROC Race Car? Let us know in the comment section below.
