This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette race car eBay listing has been getting quite a bit of attention. We can understand why, as it’s not everyday that a car of this caliber hits the market, not to mention that it’s listed at $75,000 with an alleged $175,000 invested in it – sounds like quite the deal, almost too good to be true…
If you are interested in the car as a roller, the seller states that they would be willing to sell the C2 Corvette as a roller for $45,000. This makes sense, as the 632 cubic inch Big Chief engine costs $24,000 alone (see engine specs here). What isn’t quite clear to us is the “Certified to 650” remark by the seller, as the lowest power-output available for the 632 Big Chief is 1350 horsepower.
Perhaps there’s something we’re overlooking and simply misunderstanding, but we would take a microscopically close look at this split window Corvette if we were serious about purchasing it. That’s not to say it isn’t a very good-looking, clean ride. And yes – we would drive the heck out of it.
