Video: Ever Wonder What Makes Jeff Gordon Such A Cool Guy?

Have you ever wondered what it is about NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon that makes him such a cool guy? Could it be the skill, the fame, the glory, the money, or the fact that he races a Chevrolet?

It’s actually the Arai helmet, which Gordon was one of the first in NASCAR to use. The helmet has a hose that pumps in air that is 20 degrees cooler than the 130 degrees in the race car. Aside from the literal meaning, the helmet itself is pretty cool as you will see in the video. Gordon’s interior mechanic, Jordan Allen, also made a few modifications to the helmet to improve its safety.

As Gordon’s interior mechanic, Jordan Allen is responsible for basically everything inside the car, especially what Gordon touches. One of those elements is the carbon fiber seat made by Hendrick Motorsports.

You’ll get a good look at the helmet and seat in the video, as well as some other goodies Gordon has while in the driver’s seat.
