Toyota Land Cruiser With An LS2: Hot Or Not?

Here at GM Authority: The Ultimate Independent Destination for all things General Motors,  we would like to think that you can stick an LS-motor in anything to improve it, but sometimes people find ways to ruin things, even things that are as wonderful as an LS2 V8.

We’re not saying that’s the case for this FZJ80 Toyota Land Cruiser, we’re just saying that we have mixed feelings about it.  Though, the 10 months of hard work was put into this Land Cruiser really shows as seen in the video below.

We’ve already discussed the beauty that’s under the hood, and if we’re being honest, that’s where most of the beauty is. Along with a GM LS2 V8 engine, there’s a Optima Red Top battery and K&N Intake, which contrasts what could be a rattle-can black exterior.

Speaking of exterior, we will give a nod of approval to the looks of the truck. The fender flare deletion and running board deletion make this Toyota look a bit more tough, and we dig it. The Japanese-domestic-style face-lift along with the custom grille was also a nice touch.

Still we remain undecided. Is the heart of a Pontiac GTO enough to make this Land Cruiser hot, or is it not? Watch the video below, then give us your vote.

  2. I’m sorry, but the LC is the thing that makes this vehicle, not the engine. The Engine is a bonus to the Land Cruiser but you can take the engine out, throw back in the original motor and I would still be happy.
