This is some of your new marketing kicking in. The Photography has been a major improvement on the 2016 models
All the new marketing will kick in here in August and on. They just got the go ahead last fall to change things and it takes time to do it right. It appears as if they targeted the changes to come with the intro of the 2016 models. That would not be unusual.
As for the Dare program that is only a kick off and I expect it to evolve as It just was the starting point of this and was just the early lead in for the CT6 who’s entire outlook had also changed since last fall dropping from Flagship to just the top present model for now. There was a lot to undo there as they had been laying plans as it being the flagship.
The CT6 will be the flagship. The only thing a CT8 would offer is a longer wheelbase for rear seat passengers and some more amenities.
Non one says that a 750i isn’t a flagship, but the 750iL is. They’re simply different versions of the same car.
So you think.
The CT6 was deemed not good enough to be a flagship and that is why GM changed their tune.
Even the cats and ats will see major revamps sooner than expected.
While these are good cars they are still not good enough to make their case for undisputed best in class.
Today just being as good as the commotion is not enough if you want to change you image. You need to really make a statement with your product and that is the plan. It is about making them better not bigger.
Don’t pretend to know that you are familiar with future product plans. You do that a lot. Just stop; everyone can see right through it.
The key of building something class leading is iterating. Unless you invent the category, you won’t come out with a class leading product on the first try. So what the entire range needs is continuous improvements; this doesn’t mean having entirely new cars. It means improving on the current ones, which themselves lay a very solid framework upon which to improve.
The same is true for CT6/CT8. Might as well call the CT8 a CT6-L.
Isn’t it fun to drive this small rocket , the driver is wrapped in a cocoon of metal protection , see how this head protrudes above the window sill or the steering wheel , sort of ! . GM has such incredibly talented designers , they think of everything . Thoughtfully they even added high mounted exterior side mirrors so the driver may see something of the world gone by . Perhaps as a reward send them all on a pilgrimage to the monks of Tibet for further enlightenment , about five years should be about right , don’t you think ??….see images 13 and 14 .
At first I didn’t like the lower grill. So much grill, you know? Then I realized it needed that venting to cool the engine. Because this isn’t a Cadillac. This is a deep space rocket ship.
I’m thinking the new marketing term for Caddy shouldn’t be ‘Dare Greatly’ but simply ‘Fly’.
USA jym: what did I just read?
