Petrolicious Points Its Cameras At Two Near-Perfect ’64 Impalas

The sheer volume of Youtube channels dishing up car news and reviews has grown significantly over the past several years. But despite all the newcomers, Petrolicious continues to stay near the top of the heap by cooking its videos to exacting standards, leaving them neither under-developed or overdone.

The crew resists the urge to step in front of the camera themselves, letting the vehicle in question and its owner do all the talking–a refreshing step away from the endless tire-smoking and relentless analyses found elsewhere.

The most recent episode sees the video crew point its pricey cameras at a pair of beautifully restored 1964 Chevrolet Impalas, both coupe and convertible.

A fact made all the more impressive when we learn owner Don Waters completed all the repairs and restoration himself. He also peppered in a few small improvements throughout and virtually all of his work is invisible to the eye, wheels not withstanding.

Waters, a diehard Impala fan, has owned many vesions over the years and these two near-perfect examples are simply an extension of his lifelong obsession with the icon.

A far-too-tall Ontarian who likes to focus on the business end of the auto industry, in part because he's too tall to safely swap cogs in a Corvette Stingray.
