Owner Of This 2,000-Horsepower C6 Z06 Aims To Become The Fastest Corvette In The World

This Chevrolet C6 Corvette Z06 makes 2,000 horsepower, and its owner has some pretty big plans for it.

“I’m trying to break the record for the fastest Corvette in the world, and go over 250 mph, but my ultimate goal is to hit 280 and be the fastest car in the world in the mile.”

His favorite part is that it still has the factory features such as navigation, A/C, heating, etc. But our favorite part are the two massive turbos and the nearly 2,000 wheel horsepower that they help the Vette put down on the dyno.

There are some other tidbits about this beastly Z06 that are worth mentioning, such as the heavily-modified 6-speed T56 transmission and 4-disc carbon clutch. Those bad-ass turbochargers are capable of putting out a total of “52-55 pounds” and the car also has a 300 shot of nitrous, enabling it to break traction at 200 mph — which sounds as terrifying as it does impressive. We still think it’s insanely awesome, of course.

Check it out for yourself in the video.
