When you’ve got over 7 million drivers who may need assistance at any given point in time, you need to have the resources to handle it. So, Vauxhall has hired 120 new employees for its new OnStar system call center in Luton, which now connects drivers to the call center through a 4G network.
It was just a couple of days ago that Vauxhall confirmed Luton as the European base for this system. The center’s new staff speak 8 different languages between all the new hires, and are seated at the manufacture’s main office. We find this to be quite reassuring for millions of OnStar users in Europe, especially when services range from stolen vehicles to empty fuel tanks.
Further conveniences of the system include a monthly vehicle diagnostics e-mail, a Wi-Fi hotspot for up to seven devices, and it enables remote controlling for the vehicle. To make it all even sweeter, Vauxhall is giving a free year of subscription with all new-model purchases.
