Once-Stolen Corvette To Get Makeover For Upcoming Woodward Dream Cruise

You may or may not recall George Talley’s 1979 Chevrolet Corvette being returned to him 33 years after it was stolen after he parked it on Jefferson Ave. in Michigan. GM had helped George bring the car from its discovered location in Mississippi back to his hometown in Detroit, and now, the General is doing another good deed for this Corvette lover.
Since George would love nothing more than to drive his prized C3 Corvette in the Woodward Dream Cruise, GM is deciding to make it happen by giving it the makeover it needs. The paint of the car is dull and faded, the interior looks like a tornado took place inside the car, and the brake system desperately needs to be serviced. GM intends to take care of all these issues along with a proper tune-up.
It’s great to see a happy ending for Talley, considering the injustice he suffered in the first place. We can’t wait to see the ‘Vette in its new form. For more, see the WXYZ News video below.
