The Cadillac Escalade does not seem like much of a contender when choosing a vehicle for the love-it-or-hate-it rat rod look. In fact, the only time we’ve seen a ratty Escalade is after it has spent much too long in a mid-west American climate. Salt: it’s why we can’t have nice things.
But, Metro Wrapz brought their A-game to the Forgiato Fest. They decided to take one standard Cadillac Escalade, and make it look as if it’s spent the majority of its lifetime in a salt-infested body of water.
While it’s not particularly our cup of tea, we have to admire the attention to detail here. As the kids like to say, paint is dead, long live vinyl wrap. And the possibilities are clearly endless in what can become of vinyl.
Obviously, the custom Escalade rides on a set of powder-blue Forgiato wheels. This was Forgiato Fest after all.

That is So Wrong!!! 😉
If you’re driving to a crime-ridden country (like south of the border (or even detroit)) in an expensive vehicle, I think a wrap like this could deter criminals from carjacking you, I’d probably change out these nice wheels for the regular (spare-tire type) black, steel wheels, to complete the “dilapidated” look.
Seriously ……. WTF.
Ugly as Mortal Sin, including those ugly wheels!!
Why would a Cadillac need a rust wrap?
Cadillac’s, as all other GM products, are infamous for their rust problems.
After 6 years they all look like this.
A waste of vinyl.
