The RideTech crew knows how to build a car, and knows how to build one quickly. After they finished work on the 48 Hour Chevrolet Camaro, they decided to have another go, turning an eBay-purchased 1972 C3 Corvette into a full blown autocross monster.
ScottieDTV stumbled across the 48 Hour Corvette at the Goodguy’s Indy 2015 show, and decided to hand us a closer look at the build. It’s a good video to see the detail that went into this build in such a short amount of time.
Engineering and power aside, the interior is particularly impressive. Even in such a condensed timeframe, the team was able to put together finer details such as the “48 Hour Corvette” gauges, dressed in bright yellow, and the padded seats used for weight saving.
We’ve seen the 48 Hour Corvette come to life at the NCM Motorsports Park, but seeing it stand still, we’re able to take in the finer details of the build. Not to mention, the exterior design has been amped up slightly, and has a truly muscular appearance. Just enough of a modern touch, without losing the classic taste of the C3 Corvette.
