GMC Premiers The Film ‘The Sharp American’: Video

GMC is taking a play from cousin Cadillac and getting trendy. We previously brought you the news on GMC gearing up for its launch of its film titled “The Sharp American.”
Now, we have a the entire short film here for you to enjoy. GMC has teamed up with designer Michael Bastion, and will debut the film Men’s New York Fashion Week. Directed by Arnold Boutin, the film explores sides of different industries, and how each tie in to precision, just as the 2015 GMC Yukon Denali does.
The 2015 Yukon Denali is also the hero car of the film, as the audience is tantalized with shots of the GMC in creative manners.
There are also snippets from musician Twin Shadow and photographer Michael Avedon. The idea is to show how precision flows from every industry, and how GMC can be at the forefront of it with well executed vehicles. After all, GMC is the Professional Grade.
Watch the short film for yourself below.

Very innovative ! Kudos GMC .
GM’s marketing division is a nightmare. I thought the Chevy Trax 20nothings ‘Selfie’ spot might have been a fluke. This ad proves there’s a complete disconnect between GM and reality.
Okay. Where to begin.
1. Who buys trucks? Hint: men who don’t give a crap about male fashion. Plumbers, contractors, pool guys — you get the idea. In Los Angeles many of them are Mexican. NONE OF THEM want to look like that white metrosexual 1 percenter. That is the guy who hires them.
2. Fashion industry people do not cherish precision. The ad speaks of ‘patternmaking’, which is my wife’s profession. Patternmakers are invisible in the industry. Making things fit is important. Making them stylish is WAY more important.
3. I think ‘precision’ and ‘professional grade’ are good tag words for GMC — providing Consumer Reports can back up these claims with actual numbers. Reliability speaks to precision and grade, and so far only one GMC (Terrain) is above average in reliability. The good news was that 2014 was a stellar year for GMC reliability, and if 2015 mirrors it, they can start talking about it.
4. There’s a reason why this spot doesn’t show GMC products. The ad speaks of luxury sedans… not trucks.
John you might like to watch the video again . GMC doesn’t make caars .
I’m sure Cadillac, who’s hosting Men’s Fashion Week in NY soon, is doing a WTF about the blurring of the lines between GMC and Cadillac.
Either way, watch for me in the front row of that hot fashion show catwalk.
Nothing says high performance cars, SUVs and trucks like buff, foreign male models in tight clothes.
That Fashion Show Escalade Super Bowl commercial a couple of years ago was a bust – probably too many
wimmen-folk.
