Dale Earnhardt Jr. Gets Patriotic For 4th Of July Weekend At Daytona With New Paint Scheme

Last week Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s Chevrolet SS was adorned with an unfamiliar Microsoft paint scheme, the result of a new partnership between Hendrick Motorsports and the computer manufacturer. This weekend Jr. is back with a another new paint scheme, however this one’s a tad more patriotic than the last in the spirit of the 4th of July.

The patriotic paint scheme, which features Nationwide as the title sponsor and Kelley Blue Book, Mountain Dew, Valvoline and others as secondary sponsors, will be fielded by Earnhardt at this weekend’s Coke Zero 400 at Daytona. It’s far from the first patriotic theme Earnhardt has run on the 4th of July weekend, with last year’s car carrying an army-themed National Guard livery featuring American flags.

Watch as the Hendrick Motorsports guys paint Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s Chevy for the upcoming race at Daytona in the video below, and be sure to tune into the Coke Zero 400 when it goes green this Sunday at 7:45 p.m.
