Callaway is calling the 2016 Callaway Corvette Z06 its next chapter into the company’s long history with Corvette performance. Rightfully so, too. The 2015 Callaway Z06 produces 757 hp and 777 lb-ft of torque with the addition of a 2.3-liter supercharger kit.
The 2.3-liter is 32 percent larger than the factory supercharger coupled with the LT4 6.2-liter V8 engine found in the Z06, but Callaway also adds in plenty of other performance goodies too.
Chris Chessnoe, Callaway Product Manager, makes it clear Callaway means business with its performance credentials when speaking with Corvette Blogger. But, Callaway means a lot more. That’s just the performance side of things.
The 2016 Callaway Z06 is foremost a performance vehicle. But, the long-standing Callaway tradition of touching more than just the powertrain remains. Included with the 2016 Callaway Z06 are Callaway floortmats, interior badging, exterior badging and even key fobs. The $17,000 buys you a special Corvette, not just 107 more horsepower.
And Chessnoe is elated to introduce the car at an enthusiast gathering like the 2016 National Corvette Museum bash. Check out what he has to say in the video below.
