Canada Is Cadillac’s Third-Biggest Market In The World

If you haven’t heard, Cadillac sales in Canada grew 13 percent (to 992 units) during June, and 11 percent (to 5,663 units) for the first six months of 2015. Interestingly, the results make Canada Cadillac’s third biggest market in the world (after the U.S. and China), and also its second-fastest growing (after China).

Granted, Caddy’s sales growth in Canada came on the back of the SRX and Escalade (thanks for nothing, ATS and CTS), but that’s a topic for another time.

To note, GM officially markets the Cadillac brand in the U.S, Canada, Mexico, China, the Middle Eastern/Arabia region, Russia/CIS, and — though not aggressively — in parts of Europe. The brand is absent from entire continents such as Africa, Central and South America, Southeast Asia, and Oceania.

  1. Maybe now that the US is set to open an embassy in Cuba , Maybe Cadillac might sell vehicles to their goverment . The general population wont be able to afford one but its got to be time for them to get rid of the ’57 Chevy’s they tool around in .

    2. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE U.S.A. FOR WINNING THE WOMEN’S WORLD CUP IN CANADA TODAY!

A sea of red, white and blue in Vancouver that the whole world saw. Even better that the U.S. won in Canada… Karma is a beautiful thing.

  2. Well this Canadian leased a 2014 ATS 2.0 AWD and loves it! The biggest problem for Caddy in Canada is dealership coverage -specifically in Toronto!!
It’s easier for me to get my car serviced at the GM dealership near my cottage then in Toronto! There are no GM dealerships downtown or in the east end which is a huge pain!
