Cadillac Adds $2,000 National Consumer Cash Incentive For 2015 ATS Sedan And Coupe

Cadillac has added a U.S.-national $2,000 cash allowance/consumer cash incentive for the 2015 ATS Sedan and 2015 ATS Coupe for the month of July 2015. The incentive was not available in June, and has the following terms:
- Not available with finance or lease offers
- Take delivery by 08-31-2015
- Residency restrictions apply

For the first six months of 2015, combined sales of the ATS Sedan and Coupe dropped 16 percent to 12,507 units in the United States. Will the extra $2,000 help Cadillac reverse the slumping ATS sales. Sound off in the comments.
Besides the $2,000 national consumer cash incentive, Cadillac also has the following offers and incentives on the ATS Sedan and Coupe:
- Current GM lessens receive $750 toward the lease or purchase of a 2015 Cadillac ATS (ATS Sedan or ATS Coupe)
- Must show proof of current GM lease through Ally, U.S. Bank, or GM Financial
- Not available with some other offers

Not sure that $2,000 will make much of a difference. Trade off is you can’t get the 0% financing for 60 months. Many folks that follow automobiles realize the 2016 will have substantial improvements in the drivetrain area and will probably just wait for the new model even with a probable increased price.
Sure, but most buyers don’t follow the news or the industry as closely as we all do. Plus, the improvements are really to the V6 model thanks to the new 3.6L LGX engine, rather than the 2.5L or the 2.0L. That said, the new 8-speed automatic is a notably improvement over the 2015’s 6-speed automatic.
The “new” model (second-gen ATS) won’t arrive until calendar year 2017 or 2018/2019, so that’s still not even in the cards.
There is the reality they must sell these things before/as the 2016s arrive. And so the cash allowance is nice… but the cars still must go.
i don’t blame them for not heavily discounting for an extended period of time. In other words, a special promotion should be just that – temporary. The ATS is a great car. I applaud management for managing the brand for the long term.
It kills me more US Americans are not lining up for this car. I love mine! Funny to see all the seniors driving their 3 series and young(ish) guys like me in the Caddy

Let’s just admit though, as much as I love the car, we have had some serious, serious issues with it. I’m talking to and a half months in the shop with GM engineering trying to sort out issues.
Hi, Agree, $2000 not so important under the terms shown. I’d like to see more pictures of adults driving the car to the supermarket rather than on the racetrack. Try adding F1 suspension (comfort) replacing/adding to F2 suspension for a return of some buyers to Cadillac. Little hope as I believe that GM management has intentionally excluded traditional Cadillac buyers and concentrating sales as a much younger demographic. I’m waiting for the 2017 and if comfort not improved will go directly to Buick, Lincoln or (gulp) MB. I’ve owned the ATS since model new (prior car Lexus) but this may be the only one. Other than teeth-chattering ride, car is wonderful and problem free.

The Magnetic Ride Control addresses both of the “comfort” and “sport” suspensions types.
“Traditional” Cadillac buyers are not going for the ATS nor the CTS, as they are too small for them. They are going for the XTS.
The ATS is a sport-luxury sedan. Not a luxo-barge. You will find a similar experience at MB, BMW, Lexus, Audi, Infitni, etc. But if you want the luxo barge feel, there is always the XTS or the Buick LaCrosse.
Its time to clear the inventory and get ready for the new model year . The national campaigh for 2g’s is ok , but the dealerships are offering even more incentives to move the old sheetmetal . GM needs to start marketing these cars . Both the CTS and ATS are the best coming from Cadillac in years ,but the average American doesnt know this .
I think the ATS is a tough sell. Small back seat, small trunk, crappy base motor, and a high price if you add any options. Overall it’s a good car but I think these oversights are eliminating a large section of its target audience and the new camaro will likely make it worse.
It’s not so much that the ATS is a tough sell. It’s that very few buyers of vehicles in this segment know about it when researching and shopping.
None of the items you mentioned are actually in the top 10 considerations in the segment, including back seat or trunk space.
The “base motor” isn’t as crappy when you compare it to the competition (BMW 320i and Lexus IS250). It also allows the ATS to start at a lower price (by several thousand) compared to MB or BMW. And when you spec it out with feature parity to the 3 Series, the ATS is actually less expensive.
Lastly, this car will be very infrequently cross-shopped with the new Camaro. Same derived platform, sure. But totally different demographics for both vehicles.
