Woman Reunited With Her 1972 C3 Corvette Sting Ray 43 Years Later: Video

Here’s your feel good story for the day. In 1972, Terry Dietrich began her first real job and decided to splurge to purchase the car of her dreams: a 1972 C3 Corvette Sting Ray.

A lifelong car gal, Dietrich cherished every moment with her 1972 Corvette, that is, until a thief stole the car from her office parking lot merely six months later.

“I was very sad,” she told Today. “It took me a couple years to get over that.”

But, 43 years later, on Dietrich’s 62nd birthday, her original Allstate agent came out of retirement to deliver her the 1972 Corvette she had missed all these years. She was nearly in tears when it pulled in the driveway.

North Carolina police discovered the car on a used car dealership. After the dealer noticed the VIN didn’t match the description of the car, authorities became involved and realized the car had belonged to Dietrich, a Georgia native. After the red tape was cleared up, Allstate delivered the car personally.

You can see the video of the Dietrich receiving her 1972 Corvette right down below.
