This C5 Corvette Z06 Breaks Stereotypes With A Rallycross Run: Video

Very rarely do we see a Corvette being driven off-road. Moreover, this C5 isn’t just being driven, it’s being raced. The owner of this 2002 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 decided to use his car to compete in an SCCA Rallycross back in March.

While we aren’t able to see a time, it seems that Matt Einarsson, the driver, does a pretty good job of keeping the ‘vette under control. We can imagine the difficulty of putting a powerful rear-wheel drive sports car through its paces on a dirt road. Some may consider this completely outrageous, but the solid driving earns this video our approval. Not only that, now we’re interested to see just how well one of us would do in such a situation.

Watch the run for yourself below, and let us know if you think this driver’s got skill or if he’s insane for taking his Z06 to a rallycross.

  1. Good driver. I think there is no reason that any mechanicals could get hurt. It’s just dirt. I say go for it…
