  1. Can’t wait to see it in person.
    I think Cadillac set a VERY high bar with the Gen 2 CTS-V Coupe so I’m wondering if they can surpass it with the Gen 3 model!

    1. While the CTS coupe was good it still lacked much in refinement. The new car is more refined with an even better engine and a more solid platform. It will move the bar up just as the C7 has over the C6.

      I have driven the past CTSV coupe sedan and even auto crossed one. and while a neat car it was showing its age in the old Sigma.

    2. Speaking of coupes, as beautiful as the Gen 3 sedan is, I really don’t understand why Cadillac no longer offers a coupe version.

  3. My CTS-V Coupe is looking better and better with each passing day. Cadillac needs to step up the styling of their sedans. It’s not aggressive enough or radical enough like the CTS-V Coupe is. Cadillac’s sales are sliding and for a reason. They aren’t making cars with ground breaking styling. Until they do, sales will continue to slide with each passing month.

    1. You are way off base on all of this.

      1. Sales of your CTS-V Coupe (the CTS Coupe in general) were abysmal, especially compared to the competition. It wasn’t a bad car, but it was by no means a sales leader, nor did it account for a significant amount of sales.
      2. Styling has nothing to do with the sales slide Cadillac is currently experiencing. Instead, it’s all about:
      a) Lack of awareness
      b) Lack of incentives
      c) Lack of advertising (goes hand-in-hand with awareness)
      d) The growth of segments in which Cadillac does not compete in today, especially crossovers and the sub-compact space. See this:

      And lastly: in my eyes, the third-gen CTS is leaps and bounds better-looking than the second-gen CTS. I don’t have any stats, but I think most everyone will agree with you on that.

  4. Well I have seen this car and in person it looks great.

    As for all the argument. Yes we have lacked marketing but that is now being addressed. The ATSV and CTSV will lead the charge of the new products here soon.

    The SUV and CUV models are due in the next 1-3 years spaced out. Yes even GM can not afford all the development cost at once. That is just something that will take care of itself once they are here.

    Advertising is marketing. All ready addressed.

    Incentives not going to see them in much of a way here Cadillac is a lower volume brand and discounting in the painful era of growth will be counter productive in the long run. You have to keep an eye on the goal and we are going to see some tough times over the next 5 years. But in the end even at lower volumes the cars are making GM money hence no major incentives. They will grow it from here.

    Stop looking at the percentages of sales and look at the real numbers. Large percentages in this segment are a couple hundred cars not thousands as some of you assume.

    The Autoweek Fantasy camp showed you get people behind the wheel they will love the car as the ATSV won the camp over all and by a large margin according to the story over BMW, Benz, Audi and the Asian cars.

    To get what is going on you really need to do some homework and get all the facts as in a building era you need to take where you are with what is being done and the goals to make sense of it. Take one of these on their own and it will leave you under informed and off the mark.

  5. Cadillac most important thing is to correct the problem of slow CUE; and add more analog buttons for basic controls, people want to drive, not to handle a computer while trying drive.

    For everything else being wonderful cars that will soon have a stabilized place in the market

  7. I love my gen 2 V! But I don’t think I would enjoy it as much if it weren’t manual. C’mon Cadillac please offer a stick for this car I’m a buyer!

Folks considered the last generation Cadillac CTS-V as being a four door Corvette; but it’s this new Cadillac CTS-V that is a true 4-door Corvette as it shares almost every component that makes Chevy’s Corvette Z06 special is in this new CTS-V and zero to sixty acceleration times of under 4 seconds says it all as the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V is a new standard for the world.
