Rumormill: 2016 Chevrolet Camaro Order Date Set?

The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro was only revealed last month to a fury of buzz and hype. We’re looking at what will definitely be the most capable Camaro in the nameplate’s long-standing history. As you’re aware, production will be shifting back to the U S of A to the Lansing Grand River assembly, after the Camaro spent some quality time in America’s hat.
Now, the rumormill is saying we have date for when the masses may place their order for a shiny, new 2016 Camaro. CamaroNews states information from an anonymous, but trusted, source has said August 13 will be the day order books will open for the 2016 Camaro. The source also added production may possibly begin nearly a week later on August 22.
The order date seems plausible, as General Motors has stated the 2016 Camaro will be available in “late 2015,” with production assumed to start in the fall. With an August order date, it would allow plenty of time for the assumed thousands of orders to be placed for eager-potential owners. The rumored August production date, however, seems a tad off in our eyes.
None of this information has been confirmed by General Motors, so we will take it with a large grain of salt for the time being. What say you? Does this seem like a good timeframe? Talk to us down below.
Rumor mills are almost always wrong. The 2016 Camaro will be available “late Fall” per GM, so that would mean sometime in November. I expect ordering will begin in October.
Hopefully Europe will not be forgotten. We expect this wonderful new Camaro 2016, but will it be possible to buy one in Europe? I’m ready to order one as soon as possible.
Indeed you will and it’s definitely worth waiting for. According to GM, the 2016 Camaro will be available in Europe during the first half of 2016. Exactly which Camaro models and engine options will be available in Europe is still being decided, as is pricing, though GM has confirmed the new Camaro won’t be sold in right-hand drive form.
Will there be a 2016 Zl1 Camaro?
