Granted, the 2015 Cadillac ATS 2.0T is not a race car (we have the ATS-V for that), the engine does lack some oomph. If you’re looking for more grunt from the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, ZZPerformance has you covered on that end.
Matt Farah and The Smoking Tire got a hold of one ZZP Cadillac ATS 2.0T with the essential upgrades to produce a 400 wheel-horsepower ATS. Yes, that’s to the wheels, from a two-liter engine. And Farah claims its quite good. Though, the car was fitted with all-season tires due to rain in the forecast at Gingerman Raceway.
Farah says the ATS’ chassis is a superb starting point, direct, and precise at all the right times. He also enjoys the gearing ZZP worked in the six-speed manual the car is equipped with, which offered just enough gear before having to brake before an apex. The power sure sounds nice, and the engine makes lots of delightful whistle notes as the turbo spools.
Ultimately, Farah says with a set of stickier tires, this could be a real beast on the track for a few jaunts. Have a look for yourself down below.
